Adhesives for Cross Stitch
Glue is needed in three places in cross stitch: closing the back of a hoop panel with felt, stretching Aida onto a frame or wooden backing, and turning mini pieces into magnets, keyrings and ornaments. This category carries PeVeA fabric appliqué glue 100 and 250 g, felt glue 100 g, punch glue and macramé stiffener; textile glues dry flexible and clear and do not stiffen the Aida. All glues are in Adhesives, felt in Felt, other tools in Cross Stitch Tools.
How to Apply It
Hoop back: fold the Aida margin inside with a thin line of glue and stick the felt cover with felt glue. Frame: press the Aida from the back and glue it stretched onto the backing board at the edges; double-sided tape is an alternative. Magnets: glue the stitched Aida to felt with appliqué glue, trim the edge and add a magnet. Let glue dry 24 hours, keep it off the front and wipe any smudge at once with a damp cloth.
