How to Stitch Metallic Thread
Metallic thread is slipperier and more fragile than floss: cut it 30–35 cm short, combine 1 strand of metallic with 1 strand of matching floss, and knot it once in the needle eye. A wide-eyed size 22–24 needle reduces friction. Use it for accent stitches and backstitch rather than full coverage, and press finished work from the back on low heat.
Light Effects or Diamant?
Light Effects is a 6-strand floss; Diamant is a single twisted strand and easier to stitch.
