Beading Needles for Cross Stitch
Beaded cross stitch charts sew 11/0 seed beads over a half cross; passing the tiny bead hole takes a fine, long beading needle. This category carries Milward 213 2101 beading needles No 10–13 and DMC 1764 beading needles in packs of 6, No 10–12. All beading needles are in Beading Needles, Aida needles in Aida Needles, the bead organizer in Other Tools.
How to Sew Beads on Cross Stitch
Sew each bead with 1 strand of floss or fine beading thread in the direction of the half cross so all beads lie the same way. 11/0 beads suit 14 ct Aida and 15/0 suit 16–18 ct; No 10–11 needles are for 11/0 beads, No 12–13 for 15/0. The needle is thin and flexible, so do not force it; thread it with a threader. Beaded work is never ironed: steam it from the back over a towel.
