Felt in Punch Needle

Felt completes punch needle work: after the back of a finished panel is glued it is covered with felt, felt is the base of coasters and brooches, and small motifs can be punched straight onto felt with the fine needle. How to Use It

Backing: after the punch work is glued and dry, cut felt to the inner diameter of the hoop and stick it with felt glue or sew it with ladder stitch. Coasters: glue the finished motif to felt and cut with a 3 mm margin. Punching on felt: 1 mm felt holds pearl cotton No 8 loops with the fine needle; use fabric for large areas and felt for mini motifs and brooches. Do not wash felt, wipe it with a damp cloth.
