Imported Cross Stitch Publications

Imported cross stitch books bring modern motifs, seasonal themes and designer collections not found in local publishing, and because charts are colour symbols with DMC codes, no language is needed to stitch them. Titles here include Countryside, Happy Days, The Book of Cross Stitch and other English cross stitch books. Turkish titles are in Cross Stitch Books; all imported craft titles are in Foreign Language Publications.

Reading a Chart

Each symbol matches a DMC code in the key; the stitch count converts at 14 stitches per 2.54 cm on 14 ct, strands are usually 2 and backstitch 1. Books are calculated for 14 ct Aida and 28 ct evenweave; use DMC floss and a size 24 needle.
