Ready-Made Blanks for Punch Needle

Punch needle is not only for framed panels: ready-sewn gabardine hand bags (15×13, 21×15, 25×18 cm) and other embroiderable blanks have a weave dense enough for fine and medium punch needles, and the finished piece becomes a make-up pouch, pencil case or gift. How to Punch a Bag

Slip a piece of card inside so the needle cannot reach the back layer, draw the design or use water-soluble stabilizer, and punch with pearl cotton No 5–8 on a fine needle or Eco Vita wool on a medium needle, holding the fabric taut by hand or in a 10 cm hoop. Seal the back with punch glue. The 15×13 cm bag suits one motif, the 25×18 cm bag a name and a bouquet.
