Hello Cotton Punch Thread

Hello cotton is a 100% cotton thread made for the medium punch needle, sold in large 50 g balls. Cotton gives a smoother, slightly glossy surface than wool, washes well and does not pill, and the same thread is used for amigurumi and crochet. Which Needle and Fabric?

Use a medium punch needle or the medium tip of an adjustable needle on Monk's Cloth Fine 13 ct or dense cotton duck. One 50 g ball fills about 20×20 cm; plan 3–4 balls for a cushion. In amigurumi a 2.5–3 mm hook gives a firm, even fabric.

Cotton or acrylic for punch needle?

Cotton is smoother and washable; acrylic (Hello Easy) is lighter and cheaper.
