Etuval Cotton Duck Fabrics

Duck is a dense, medium-weight cotton that holds its shape in bags, covers, curtains, cushions, aprons and tablecloths; strong and easy to sew. This category sells Etuval cotton duck 180 cm wide in light blue, beige, pistachio green and more by the metre. Since its dense weave also serves punch needle and embroidery, all colours are collected in Duck.

Sewing Tips for Duck

Use a size 90–100 machine needle and polyester thread, and lengthen the stitch to 3 mm on thick layers. Duck shrinks slightly in the first wash, so wash and press before sewing. The 180 cm width is economical for one-piece curtains and cloths; 0.5 m makes a bag or a cushion cover, 1 m an apron. Wash at 40 °C and press damp.
