Nurge Adjustable Scroll Frames

A scroll frame is an adjustable wooden frame on which the top and bottom of the fabric are rolled onto bars and tensioned by the side arms. On prayer rugs, tablecloths and large pictures it avoids the ring mark of a round hoop and keeps the whole piece evenly taut. Nurge frames come in 45×30, 60×30 and 75×30 cm. Which Size and How to Use It

Choose the bar length by the short side of your piece: 45 cm for towels and medium panels, 60 cm for tablecloths, 75 cm for prayer rug panels (75 cm wide). Baste the fabric edge to the bar tape, roll the bars and tighten the side screws; roll on fresh fabric as you progress. The frame fits Nurge stands or rests on a table or lap.
