How to Make a First Tapestry

Hoop the canvas or hold it in hand; work a slanted stitch (half cross) over the printed colour, all stitches facing the same way. Stitch light colours before dark, start and end thread at the back; when done glue felt to the back and hang it in a miniature hoop or panel hoop, see Panel Hoops.
