Water Soluble Stabilizer for Sewing
Sticky water-soluble stabilizer is the easiest way to transfer a design in sewing and appliqué and to hold pieces before stitching: print or draw the design on the A4 sheet, peel the backing, stick it to the fabric, sew over it and let it dissolve completely in lukewarm water. All stabilizers are in Stabilizer, the embroidery version in Embroidery Stabilizer, fabric glues in Adhesives.
Where to Use It
Appliqué: draw the motif on the sheet, stick it to the fabric, zigzag the edge and dissolve. Patchwork: fix small pieces with the sheet and sew without pins. Embroidered sewing projects: transfer lettering and designs. On felt and knits that take no pen marks it is the only solution. Print on an inkjet as A4; afterwards soak the fabric 5–10 minutes, dry and press from the back.
