Filling and Felt for Amigurumi

Amigurumi and crocheted toys are stuffed with bead fibre; first-grade siliconized bead fibre does not clump, is light and washable and keeps the toy soft and in shape. Eyes, noses, cheeks and clothing details are cut from 1 mm thin felt, which does not fray, so cutting and sewing or gluing is enough. How Much Filling?

A 15 cm amigurumi takes 20–30 g, a 25 cm toy 60–80 g, a 40 cm toy 150–200 g; cushions 300–500 g. Stuff in small handfuls, firmly but without gaps, with head and body a little firmer. Fix felt details with fabric glue or a fine needle; on baby toys, sewing is preferred.
