Bead Fibre

Bead fibre is siliconized polyester fibre processed into small balls: it does not clump, is light, washable and keeps its shape. It stuffs amigurumi and felt toys, punch and cross stitch cushions, pillows and pincushions. This page gathers the filling at Hobianna: first-grade bead fibre in several weights. The amigurumi stuffing guide is in Fiberfill and Felt under Knitting, felt in Felt, amigurumi yarn in Amigurumi Yarn.

How Much Filling?

A 15 cm amigurumi takes 20–30 g, a 25 cm toy 60–80 g, a 40 cm toy 150–200 g; a 40×40 cm cushion 300–400 g, a 50×50 cm pillow 500–600 g, a seat cushion 800 g and up. Stuff in small handfuls, without gaps but without compressing, a little firmer in the head and body of an amigurumi. Siliconized fibre does not clump in the wash: 30 °C and dry flat.
