Paper yarn is a cellulose-based, light, shape-holding yarn whose straw look makes it the favourite for beach bags, hats, baskets and plant pot covers. Tips for Paper Yarn

Crochet paper yarn in single crochet with a 3–4 mm hook; it is not slippery, so stitches stay crisp and the bag keeps its shape. A medium beach bag takes 2–3 balls, a hat 1–2, a basket 1; add a leather or wooden handle. Paper yarn softens when wet and regains shape when dry; shape with a slightly damp iron and never machine wash. Cord Yarn is stiffer for baskets and pots, Papier Soft ideal for hats and bags.
