Water Soluble Cross Stitch Kits

A water-soluble kit packs the design printed on soluble canvas, DMC thread and a needle: baste the canvas to a T-shirt, bag, jeans or towel, cross stitch over it, and in lukewarm water the canvas dissolves completely, leaving only the stitching. How to Use the Kit

Baste or, on self-adhesive models, stick the canvas to the fabric and stitch through its squares with 2 strands and a size 24 blunt needle. When finished, soak 5–10 minutes in lukewarm water, let the canvas dissolve, dry and press from the back. On stretchy T-shirts avoid pulling the fabric while stitching. A kit takes 2–4 hours.

Does the canvas leave residue?

No; it dissolves fully, rinse a second time if needed.
