Gazzal: Soft Cotton Yarns for Amigurumi and Punch Needle

Gazzal is a Turkish yarn maker and one of the most popular choices among amigurumi crocheters. Hobianna carries three core lines: Baby Cotton (60% cotton, 40% acrylic, 50 g / 165 m), Jeans (58% cotton, 42% acrylic, 50 g / 170 m) and Pareo. Each comes in a wide, batch-consistent colour range. Find them with other yarns in Threads.

Which Gazzal Yarn for Which Project?

Baby Cotton is the amigurumi standard: crisp stitch definition, no stuffing show-through, works with a 2–2.5 mm hook and is suitable for baby items. Jeans is slightly finer and glossier, great for small characters and keyrings. Pareo suits summer garments and home textiles. For punch needle, Baby Cotton with a fine needle gives tight, even loops. A 15–20 cm amigurumi needs one ball; larger figures two or three.
