13 count Monks Cloth suits fine needles and DMC floss; 7 count and punch cloth suit thick yarn. Overlock the edges, stretch tight in a hoop and glue the back when done; needles are in Punch Needles.

Large-count Aida works with a fine needle and three strands of floss, but Monks Cloth gives better loop retention.
