Riolis: The Pioneer of Wool Cross Stitch Kits

Riolis has been made in Russia since the early 1990s and stands out for using soft wool instead of cotton in many of its kits. Hobianna stocks three Riolis groups: counted cross stitch kits (fabric, thread, needle, chart), embroidery kits (printed designs worked in free embroidery stitches) and diamond mosaic pictures. Subjects range from bouquets and still life to animals, icons and seasons, in sizes from 10×10 cm to 60×40 cm. See Kits.

What Makes Riolis Different

Wool kits give full, matte stitches with a textile feel that suits pictures and cushions; cotton lines give a classic sheen. Fabric is 10 count Zweigart or 14 count Aida; large designs stitch quickly in thick wool. Charts are colour printed and symbol based. Wool pieces are hand washed cold with wool detergent and dried flat.
