Gütermann Sewing Thread

Gütermann is a 100% polyester sewing thread on 100 m spools; German made, it does not break or pill, is colourfast and gives even tension in machine sewing. Which Colour, How Many Spools?

Pick the colour closest to the fabric or one shade darker; on printed fabric take the dominant colour. A blouse takes 1 spool, a patchwork quilt 3–4. Use a size 80–90 machine needle, with top and bobbin thread from the same brand; see Sewing Helpers for bobbin winding.
