Pinking (Zigzag) Shears

Pinking shears cut fabric in a zigzag thanks to their serrated blades; the cut edge does not fray and stays clean without overlocking. This page gathers the DMC pinking shears in 20 cm. Where to Use Them

If the edge of cross stitch aida is cut with pinking shears no threads shed while working; felt ornament and appliqué edges get a decorative zigzag; in patchwork a pinked seam allowance does not fray in the wash. Use the shears on fabric only.
