Chenille Yarn: Hello Baby Love Velvet Yarn in 32 Colours

Chenille (velvet) yarn has a short-pile, velvety surface that hides loop gaps and feels soft to the touch. This page collects all 32 colours (No. 201–232) of Hello Baby Love chenille in 25 g / 50 m balls, from pastel baby shades to deep tones. In punch needle it gives a plush, rug-like surface with a thick (4 mm) needle on monk's cloth; in crochet a 3 mm hook makes plush amigurumi; it is also chosen for baby blankets, booties and cushions. Buy all balls for one project from the same lot to avoid shade differences.

Tips

For punch needle keep loops short and rows dense; a 20x20 cm panel takes 3–4 balls. For crochet use a 4–5 mm hook and stitch markers, as stitches are hard to count; frogging sheds fibre. A 25 g ball is 50 m; a 15–20 cm amigurumi needs 2–3 balls. Hand wash at 30°C and dry flat.

FAQ

Is chenille yarn suitable for punch needle? Yes, with a thick (4 mm) punch needle it gives one of the plushest results; it does not work with fine 1.2–2.2 mm needles.

Does it shed? Baby Love is polyester and sheds little; dense loops and hand washing keep the surface intact.
