Nurge Adjustable Embroidery Frames

This page gathers all scroll frames at Hobianna: the Nurge adjustable embroidery frame in 45×30, 60×30 and 75×30 cm. A scroll frame is a rectangular wooden frame on which the top and bottom of the fabric roll onto bars and the side arms set the tension; it avoids the ring mark of a round hoop, keeps the whole surface evenly taut and lets you roll on fabric for large work. Branch guides are in Embroidery Frames, Cross Stitch Frames and Tapestry Frames; stands in Embroidery Stands, round and clip hoops in Hoops.

Which Size, How to Use It

Choose the bar length by the short side of the fabric: hoop panels and napkins 45 cm, runners and large panels 60 cm, prayer rug panels (75 cm wide) and cloths 75 cm. Baste the fabric edge to the bar tape, roll the bars and tighten the side screws, rolling on fresh fabric as you go. The frame fits Nurge floor, seat and table stands or rests on a table or lap, and a finished piece can stay taut in it for display. Nurge frames are beechwood, made in Turkey.
