Knitting Needle Types

This page gathers every knitting needle at Hobianna: DMC Rose Gold aluminium straights (40 cm, 2–8 mm), circular needles for blankets and knitting in the round, sets of 4–5 double-pointed needles for socks and gloves, grippy wooden and bamboo needles and 9–10 mm jumbo needles for chunky yarn. Choosing Size and Length

The size is the thickness in millimetres, matched to the yarn label: baby 3–3.5 mm, summer 3.5–4.5 mm, winter 5–8 mm, blankets 8–10 mm. Length follows the width of the work: 35–40 cm straights cover scarves, hats and baby sets; 60–100 cm circulars are needed for blankets, cardigans and seamless sweaters.
