Which Metallic for Which Work?

For a heavy, raised metallic the pearl skein; for fine, multicoloured metallic Light Effects (6 strands, 8 m, 36 colours); for a soft sparkle that stitches like floss Etoile (35 colours); for flat outlines and spooled metallic Diamant (35 m). The metallic skein gives full single-strand coverage on 11–12 ct aida and canvas and a bold motif on 14 ct; stitch with a size 22 large-eyed needle and 35–40 cm lengths.
