Metallic Fabric Aida

Metallic aida is aida fabric with a metallic thread woven in; the unstitched ground sparkles in the light and gives an elegant background to Christmas, bridal, baby and special occasion cross stitch. Tip for Metallic Aida

The metallic thread stiffens the fabric a little; a blunt size 24 tapestry needle and 2 strands of floss stitch comfortably. Hand wash in warm water, iron from the back at low heat; the unstitched ground of the motif is a decorative part on metallic aida, so the background is not filled.
