How to Make a Set

Stitch the border motif from the centre with 2 strands of DMC floss and a size 24 blunt needle; the band is about 14 ct and needs no hoop. For a six-place set stitch 6 placemats and 6 napkins in one motif and one dye lot, and carry the design onto towels and runners for a full trousseau set. A placemat takes 1–2 hours, a napkin 20–30 minutes. Wash at 40 °C and press from the back.
