Aida-Bordered Embroiderable Towels

An embroiderable towel has a countable Aida band woven into its border for direct cross stitch: the classic of trousseau, wedding and birth gifts. This category carries 30×50 cm hand towels and 50×90 cm bath towels in beige, white, grey and colours; cotton, washable, with a band close to 14 ct. How to Stitch a Towel Border

Start the border motif from the centre of the band with 2–3 strands of floss and a size 24 blunt needle and repeat towards both ends. No hoop is needed; a magnetic hoop helps on the narrow band. Add names, dates and short texts from the alphabet charts in Cross Stitch Patterns. Wash at 30 °C and press the stitching from the back.
