Anchor Mouliné Embroidery Thread

Anchor Mouliné is a British-origin 6-strand mercerised cotton embroidery thread; 8 m skeins, colourfast and no fading in the wash. This page gathers the Anchor floss at Hobianna; use it directly when charts are keyed to Anchor codes, or with a conversion chart when keyed to DMC. Anchor or DMC?

Both are professional quality; the difference is in the colour card. Anchor is richer in some pastel and grey tones, DMC is the chart standard. Do not mix the two brands in one project; the difference in thickness and sheen shows. Use 2 strands on 14 ct aida, 3–4 in stem stitch.
