Metallic Threads for Tapestry

This category gathers every metallic DMC thread in the tapestry branch: DMC metallic embroidery thread (light gold OR-CL, light silver AR-CL), the thick DMC Pearl Metallic Skein 5282 gold and 5283 silver, softly shimmering DMC Etoile, fully metallic Light Effects and spooled Diamant. Which Metallic for Which Tapestry?

Pearl metallic skein for thick accents at the same height as wool; 6 strands of Etoile or Light Effects for wide shimmering areas and floss tapestries; Diamant couched for straight lines and outlines. Use 6 strands on 10–12 ct and 4 on 14 ct with a size 20–22 large-eye blunt needle and 30–35 cm lengths. Stitch metallic areas last, do not pull tight, and steam from the back on low heat.
