Safety Pins and Other Needles

Where Are Safety Pins Used?

A large safety pin on the end of waistband elastic or a hood cord pulls it through the casing; a small one holds a dropped stitch and marks the start of a round in knitting; in patchwork they keep cut blocks in order; on hoop covers and bags they hold a project label. Assorted sets bring 3–4 sizes together, and stainless steel never rusts in damp.
